What is LibForensics?
LibForensics is an object oriented Python framework for developing digital forensic analysis tools.
How do I run LibForensics?
You don't. LibForensics is a framework for developing digital forensic analysis tools. You can use LibForensics to develop a tool (that you can run.)
Why Python?
Well I've tried Python, C, C++ and Java. C and C++ required quite a bit of lead time and Java is well... Somewhat brain dead. Python is fairly C-like, and includes a lot of useful code in the standard library.
Is LibForensics approved by the courts?
No.
Why not?
Because courts don't "approve" software.
If I have to go to court and I use LibForensics, will you testify?
Depends, contact the parent organization (Code-X Technologies).
